At least it's winter break, so I've pretty much had fun without having to worry about schoolwork for once... it's nice.
Man, I really should not be up at three in the morning. I'm so tired, but I can't go to sleep, and I don't even know why I'm typing this here but I feel the need to fill up this white space... Yep, that's my craziness talking.
Right, so what's been happening with me recently... steampunk phase. It's so cool, and now that I've discovered a steampunk Hetalia community somewhere on LiveJournal, it's doubly so. It's an intriguing genre that I'm looking forward to familiarizing myself with.
Speaking of which, I've really gotten deep with Hetalia. Usually when I find something, I either like it but don't really fangirl about it, like Trinity Blood (Good anime. Seriously, watch it.) and even Yu-Gi-Oh, to some extent (though it has come back with a vengence ever since I came upon Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged). I thought I had gone the deepest I could go with Phoenix Wright (Edgeworth's game is coming out in '10! I'm excited!!!) but when I got into Hetalia... I had to rethink that. I'm trying to figure out why it draws me in so much... One, the characters are very adorable and somewhat stereotypical for their indivdiual countries, which is part of its humor. Two, Hetalia has roots in history, a subject that is interesting for me. I always think of history as one huge story, and putting historical tidbits in an attractive web comic/anime which fans then work into fanfictions using other historical tidbits (sometimes!) is very appealing, at least to me. Thirdly... alright, I can't think of a third reason at this point. I'll try again some other time, maybe when I'm not so tired and unable to sleep.
Hm. One more thing, mes autre deux amis (excuse the horrible French. I'm justifying it by my writing this while out of my mind): I'm in the process of typing out all the stories we came up with on the bus. It's changed though, so don't be afraid of telling me something's off with any of them. I'll go change it if I remember.
Okay, I'm done now.
